 Custom painted calipers
These cars look so great with detailed painted and noterized calipers so one can only wonder why GM skipped at least offering this as an option from the factory. The biggest part of this modification is the fact that it's very time consuming. Doing it the right way takes the better part of a day to complete but it really pays off in the end. I decided I wanted to go with "Ford Red" (I know, crazy as how this is a Chevrolet Camaro) for the calipers themselves and "Gloss Black" for the brackets.
First, we cleaned and and smoothed out the rough edges of the parts to be painted. Then, we put down a few coats of "Clear Primer" which should help the base coat to adhere to the parts nicely. After that we put down three coats of the "Ford Red" for the calipers and "Gloss Black" for the brackets. Once the final coats was dry on the calipers we applied the custom made decals from Fourth Circle Designs. Finally, for the calipers, we put down three coats of clear coat and allowed to dry before reasemlbing the brakes and mounting the tires back on.Very special thanks to Shawn Ellis (Evil Face) for helping me a great deal to get this done. And to Darren Bane for loaning us the floor jack and tools needed. Shawn and his design company have done several calliper customizations among many other appearance options for f-bodies.

You will also need a floor jack and four jack stands to get the entire car off of the ground at once. Doing this will greatly help to reduce the time you spend.
